Plan and develop menus; ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals; develop recipes and determine the presentation of food; monitor and check freshness of food and ingredients; supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers; inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality; train and supervise cooks and food preparation workers; assist with the order and inventory of food and supplies needed; monitor sanitation practices and kitchen safety standards; and cost analysis.
Requires completion of a culinary apprenticeship or education program and five years of experience as a Chef, Head Cook or closely related occupation preparing Bavarian Cuisine.
